FLYING winger John Robinson could pose the biggest threat to Rovers unbeaten run at The Valley tonight.

Signed for just £75,000 from Nationwide League minnows Brighton, Robinson has been one of Alan Curbishley's best ever buys.

And it's his trickery down the flanks which has helped the Addicks become the First Division's second highest scorers this season.

Strike-duo Clive Mendonca and Andy Hunt have both profited thanks to Robinson's generous supply line.

And judging by our Opta stats, the Welsh international appears to be the Charlton equivalent of Damien Duff.

Both players have been massive creative influences for their teams this season.

Duff has four goal assists to his credit so far while Robinson is not far behind on three.

But the Charlton man has shown a greater eye for goal, scoring three times compared to Duff's one.

The Irish international wins hands down, however, when it comes to swinging over crosses - a winger's principal art.

So far in his 867 minutes of action, Duff has supplied a total of 102 centres, 36 per cent of which have been successful.

Robinson can't match that figure, crossing only 67 times, despite playing nearly twice as many games.

But he is more dangerous when it comes to taking on a man, having made 66 dribbles and runs this season, 83 per cent of which have been successful.

Both players have defensive qualities too.

But it's in the final third where they are at the most lethal and whoever wins the battle on the wings could swing the game for their team.
