Cinderella On Ice, King George's Hall, Blackburn
CAPTIVATED kids shouted until they were hoarse . . . Oh yes they did!
The show is unashamedly aimed at children and is packed with audience participation. Set on more than 2,000 feet of glistening ice, it cleverly combines traditional panto tomfoolery with dazzling spectacle. Buttons, endearingly played by comedian Phil Walker, leads the audience on a magical journey from Baron Hardup's kitchen to the royal ballroom.
The cast of champion skaters glide skilfully through a stunning display, with the added sparkle of powerful and pacey chorus numbers.
Spiced with dazzling costumes, state-of-the-art lighting, sound and special effects, Cinders certainly leaves a warm glow. It runs until Sunday.
