A WARNING went out about the dangers of skating on frozen park ponds. At Corporation Park in Blackburn, the pond froze over as the latest cold spell hit the region.
And council spokeswoman Lindsay MacDonald appealed to people to take notice of the warning signs and not walk or skate on the ice. Council workers also put up warning signs at other parks.
