BOTH teams contributed to a fantastic Blackburn and Darwen Junior League Under-11s Cup quarter-final contest which was enjoyed by both sets of spectators.

Celtic started the game in superb style, quick accurate passing and shooting with Arrows struggling even to get a touch. Celtic stayed on top for the rest of the half, one particular move from Celtic was superb.

A flicked-on pass resulting in an excellent shot which rattled the bar. Against the run of play though, Arrows hit the post.

In the second half Arrows gradually fought their way back into the game with the midfield trio of Murray, Smith and Kellaway winning more of the possession.

Micallef up front was dominant in the air and started to set up chances for the Arrows.

However, the tactic that Celtic were unable to cope with was the Smith long throw. With five minutes to go Smith cleared the Celtic defence again, Micallef laid the ball off to Kellaway who made no mistake from close range.

At this point Celtic poured forward and with only seconds left one of their players hit an unstoppable shot which man-of-the-match and reserve goalkeeper Chris Baron tipped away superbly.
