PART of the Hodge House housing estate at Nelson could be made into a 20 mph zone.
The estate's existing scheme of road humps to encourage drivers to slow down could also be extended to cover Rakeshouse Road, according to a report to be presented to Pendle Council's Nelson area committee on Monday.
The report says vehicles on the estate average between 20 mph and 25 mph and there were four accidents resulting in injuries between 1994 and 1999.
The county council and police are in favour of the 20 mph zone in Cravendale Avenue, Rakeshouse Road and Charles Street.
