Carnforth 15 Bay Horse 10

CARNFORTH bounced back from last weekend's league defeat with a deserved victory against local rivals Bay Horse.

They ran in three tries and were 15-0 up with just ten minutes to go but found themselves hanging on at the death as Bay Horse fought back.

Carnforth took the lead after good work by the pack, Walker released winger Sam Ripley who scored in the corner. On the stroke of the half hour they doubled their lead when scrum half Simon Hutton passed to flanker Richard Short who powered his way through for a try.

The backs stole the show for the third try with Metcalfe cutting inside and evading a diving tackle.

With nothing to lose Bay Horse started to run the ball at every opportunity and a well worked move saw them grab a late try in the corner. Moments later they bagged another and it took resolve for Carnforth to hold on to their victory.

Walker, Ripley (Walker) Holden, Metcalfe, Evans (Whitham) Parkinson, Hutton, Rabbett, Collins, Stubbs, Coulton, Moorhouse, Cummings (Robinson) Short, Rich.
