FIREFIGHTERS in Padiham will be fully loaded and ready for action with the delivery of two new fire engines.
The first Leyland 60 series vehicle arrived this week, replacing a D-registered Leyland 180.
The new machine has higher specifications, better braking and a bigger engine.
The second is due to be delivered to the town centre fire station on Tuesday.
Following a recruitment drive the retained Padiham force has a 23-strong team, led by Station Officer Derek Hill.
