A TEENAGER who was twice a passenger in stolen cars is awaiting sentence.
Burnley magistrates heard how unemployed Mark Jackson, 19, was with his accomplice when he took a car.
The vehicle ran out of petrol so the accomplice took another car.
Jackson, of Essex Street, Barnoldswick, admitted two counts of allowing himself to be carried in a vehicle taken without consent and asked for six similar offences to be considered.
The bench adjourned his case until February 21 for a pre sentence report.
Jackson told police he acted as lookout when the cars were taken.
Gary Bolton, defending, said Jackson made the mistake of being influenced by a friend.
He was not involved in breaking into the cars and wanted to apologise to the court and to the victims whose cars were taken.
