A LITTLE girl who faces an uncertain future after being born with kidney disease is the inspiration behind a fancy dress pub crawl for charity.

Chloe Shorrock, aged 14 months, has already had a kidney removed and doctors have confirmed her other is also growing too fast.

It means she will have to undergo a second operation in the near future at The Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, Pendlebury.

Chloe lives with parents Georgina Shorrock and Alistair Rowley and five-year-old brother Corie in Kay Street, Darwen.

Georgina said: "She will definitely have to have her other kidney removed soon. "After the dialysis we have to keep our fingers crossed that a suitable donor is found, so that she can have a transplant.

"I wanted to arrange some fund-raising after meeting other parents at the hospital. There are lots of heartbreaking stories.

"Although we are really worried about Chloe it makes you realise there is always somebody worse off." The fancy dress pub crawl will set off from The Victoria in Sudell Road, Darwen, at 7.30pm on Friday, February 11.

A special discount for costumes has been agreed with the Wizard's Den in Blackburn Road for anybody interested in taking part.
