ON the day Timothy Holt should have been appearing before Preston magistrates for theft from a shop, he was caught shoplifting in Blackburn.
Holt, 29, of De Lacey House, Preston New Road, Blackburn, admitted two offences of shoplifting and to breaching his probation order and was jailed for eight months.
Stipendiary magistrate Jonathon Finestein said the offences were aggravated by Holt's appalling record.
In a letter to court, Holt admitted his record was a "CV from hell."
Daniel King, defending, said: "When he came out of prison he was under pressure from certain drug suppliers and they thought they were going to put pressure on him to repay his debts."
