GIRLS from Walshaw High School, Burnley, attended Sunday morning service at St John the Evangelist Church, Worsthorne.
The students performed parts of the school's millennium celebration service with readings about various characters who have made a difference over the past 1,000 years.
The school band and choir played and sang. The service was led by the Vicar, the Rev Lawrence Laycock whose daughter, Jane, is head of religious education at the school.
