A NURSING home has won the regional final in the Ashbourne Winter Doorstep Challenge.
Staff at Highfield Hall, Haslingden, created a floral welcome in the reception area, complemented by dried flower arrangements and pictures.
They have received £100 and are in the national finals with a change of a £500 prize.
Gillian Russell, activities co-ordinator, said: "The money will go into the residents' fund to provide activities equipment, fund our sweet trolley and take residents out on day trips.
"We are very pleased to have won the regional award and are keeping our fingers crossed for the national award."
