THE public were due to have their say on issues affecting much of East Lancashire at a meeting being held in Accrington today.

The East Lancashire Consultative Committee brings together representatives of Lancashire County Council, Hyndburn Council, Pendle Council, Rossendale Council, Burnley Council and Ribble Valley Council.

Among the issues expected to be discussed were the validity of transport passes over the Lancashire border, highways improvements and the need for a new secondary school for the Ribble Valley.
