BEARDWOOD House residential retirement home in Blackburn welcomed residents, families and visitors to enjoy an open day.
The event followed the arrival of new manager and former Burnley College tutor Barbara Croft, who took up her post at the home in Wycollar Road four weeks ago.
Mrs Croft, who previously taught a course in care for the elderly, said: "We had a really nice day.
"It was just to let people know who I am, where we are and what we are like really and a lot of people turned up."
Events included bingo, a tombola and a performance by Irish group She 3.
