IN reply to Mrs A Haddock (Letters, January 20), actually my grandchildren did see this year's ice panto in Blackburn, for after my earlier remarks (Letters, January 6) the manager of King George's Hall kindly invited me and my grandchildren to the show and asked us to comment on it afterwards.
Unfortunately, my husband and I had the flu, but our grandchildren were taken by their other grandparents.
They enjoyed the show and said that Buttons made the show. He was a non-skater and a new addition to the ice panto.
He portrayed himself in a more traditional panto way and I gathered it was an improvement on the last two ice pantos.
So perhaps KGH have got the balance right for further pantos.
At the end of the day, we all have our own opinions and, who knows, perhaps this year I might give it a whirl.
