A WOMAN insurance collector was targeted by a truncheon-wielding robber who stole her handbag.
The thief, who was wearing a full face motor cycle helmet, apparently waited for his victim in Turton Grove, Burnley.
As she got out of her car at 7.10pm last night she was challenged by the man who demanded money.
She refused and ran off but was followed and quickly caught by the crook. He threatened her with what is thought was a truncheon and stole her handbag containing personal items but no cash.
He was white and 5ft 8ins tall. He was wearing a black motor cycle helmet with a dark visor and dark clothing.
