PAUL Brian Dakin, 39, of Whittaker Street, was bound over in the sum of £75 for 12 months when he appeared before Blackburn magistrates and admitted a breach of the peace.
The court heard that police were called to Dakin's home early in the morning where they found him behaving in an aggressive manner towards his common-law wife. When police asked him to calm down he became abusive and was arrested.
Nick Turner, defending, said the woman was in court to support him.
"Drink was involved and he is very sorry," added Mr Turner.
