POLICE driving along Market Street Lane, Blackburn, heard a loud bang as they drove alongside Shaun Carney.
Blackburn magistrates heard that when officers asked Carney if he had kicked the vehicle he became abusive and said: "I haven't done it, plod."
Carney, 18, of Ribblesdale Avenue, Accrington, was bound over in the sum of £100 to be of good behaviour for 12 months and a charge of being drunk and disorderly was withdrawn. He also pleaded guilty to possessing a small amount of cannabis and was fined £50 with £112 costs.
Basharat Ditta, defending, said: "The officers seemed to think it was deliberate, he says it wasn't."
