POLICE are renewing an appeal for information about an attack on a 19-year-old girl .
She was walking near to waste ground at Saltburn Street, Gannow Lane, Burnley, between 12.30-1pm on Friday, January 14, when she was attacked from behind by a man who put both hands on her shoulders and pushed her to the ground.
She screamed and during a struggle punched and kicked the man, who ran off towards Smallshaw Lane.
He is described as white, at least 6ft tall, stocky and powerfully built, 20-30, with dark brown well cut hair. He was wearing a dark blue or back fleece jacket, stone washed jeans and white trainers. He smelled strongly of Lynx aftershave.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers in anonymity on 0800 555111.
