A YOUTH flung a piece of concrete at a council mini bus because he was bored, Burnley magistrates heard.

Daniel Francis Marcos Ginley, 18, was bailed and later went into a shop and helped himself to a watch.

Ginley, of Bankhouse Road, Nelson, admitted damage and theft. He was bailed until February 7, for pre-sentence reports.

The court heard Ginley caused £500 damage to the vehicle in a Pendle Borough Council compound. He told police he had been bored.

Gill Lloyd, defending, said Ginley had the most unsettled childhood and adolescence that anyone could have. He had been shipped around every couple of months.

Ginley, who used amphetamine every day, was now receiving support and guidance from his stepmother. He was due to go for a job interview.
