A GIANT bottle of champagne helped raise £200 in memory of Joyce Kelly, of Darwen.
Martin Williams, a regular at the Mill Gap pub in Bolton Road, Darwen, won the champagne in a previous raffle but decided to use it to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Relief. Joyce was cared for by the specialist nurses before her death in December.
Her son Mick organises a double decker bus to take Blackburn Rovers fans to home games from the pub. Raffle tickets were sold in the Mill Gap and nearby Bowling Green pub before the group set off for the Boxing Day match.
Martin, who works at Martin Bird Insurance, Darwen, said: "Joyce was loved by everybody. I thought it would be a nice gesture to raise money in her name. Everybody was very generous."
