HARWOOD recorded their first double of the season thanks to second half goals from Gary Butcher and Graham Lightbown.

And it was the least the Reds deserved after dominating this clash from start to finish.

Robbed of injured trio Neil Otley, Nick Grogan and Paul Brown, manager Denis Underwood gave a debut to Damian McKay.

And the former Accrington Stanley man acquitted himself superbly in the centre of midfield.

Harwood carved out a host of first half chances but failed to make any count.

The Reds continued to pile forward in numbers in the second half and it was no surprise when they eventually broke the deadlock.

Neil Baron rose to meet a deep corner and Butcher spun to crack home his knock down from close range.

Lightbown was then foiled by the keeper before he bagged Harwood's second with a neat finish after a clever through ball from Paul Curley.

The home side set up a tense finish when they pulled one back late on from the penalty spot after Warren Peake was harshly adjudged to have handled but Harwood held out.

Harwood take on Salford City tonight in the quarter finals of the FNWTL Floodlit Trophy at The Showground (kick off 8pm).
