A PENSIONER has been charged with the murder of his wife.
Catherine Hartley, 75, was found dead in her home in Geoffrey Street, Chorley. She is believed to have been strangled.
A post-mortem examination was carried out over the weekend.
Herbert Hartley, 78, has been charged with her murder and was appearing before South Ribble Magistrates at Leyland today.
