OUR NIE resources written by local teachers and designed to boost literacy and numeracy skills are on offer to schools and colleges throughout our circulation area.

From Barnoldswick to Chorley and Longridge to Todmorden, if your school is within the area, our range of ready made classroom material can be ordered, along with delivery of our newspaper at any time.

And a no-obligation viewing of any of our material and facilities can be arranged for teachers in your own school.

Pick and Mix is our latest range of newspaper-linked resources on offer, setting out activities to support both literacy and numeracy at a basic price of only £10 for a minimum set of 25 and includes a delivery of the same number of current copies of our newspapers.

The five different Pick and Mix activity packs have been designed to focus on features and information in our newspaper on each day of the week.

For instance, Monday's pack includes weekend sport and local history, whilst Thursday's looks at job adverts, food news and our Property Hunter supplement. All activities in the pack are suitable for students from KS2 to adult literacy classes.

Our Maths Motivation material designed specifically to support maths from reception to GCSE pupils includes worksheets linked to maths in both the production and content of newspapers and a week-long delivery of the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
