POLICE have dropped an investigation into an alleged rape, after a 16-year-old girl told detectives the attack never took place.
The teenager claimed she was raped outside Blackburn's Never Never Land nightclub in the early hours of Sunday. Detectives viewed footage from CCTV cameras close to the scene and appealed for witnesses, but have since called off the inquiry.
