MARTIN Meadows bid to win the BTRDA Gold Star Championship suffered a setback when he crashed out of the Malcolm Wilson Rally.
The Clitheroe driver badly damaged his Proton Compact after rolling out on the third stage of the Cumbrian event.
Meadows now faces a race against time to rebuild the car in time for the next round of the series, the North Humberside Rally, on March 25.
Overall victory went to top seed Steve Petch in a Ford Escort Cosworth.
