BOLTON were hit by a two minute blitz from visiting Charlton who took advantage of a rare lapse in the Wanderers back line to secure yet another three points.
But as the Addicks look certain to return to the Premiership next season, Bolton fans were left clinging to the last threads of their promotion hopes after losing what manager Sam Allardyce had called a must-win game.
In a tight encounter with chances few and far between for either side. Mark Kinsella was the architect of both second half strikes. Firstly, his through ball deceived Mark Fish, who could only watch as Martin Pringle hammered home the first.
Moments later Charlton doubled their lead. Kinsella this time finding Andy Hunt who wasted no time in wrapping up the three points with a simple finish.
