DETECTIVES are hunting two bogus roofers who tried to con elderly women.
The two men called at houses along Aspinall Fold, off Pleckgate Road, Blackburn, claiming to have done work on roofs and asking to be paid.
They targeted a 94-year-old women and an 86-year-old woman. One of the women paid the men £20.
Detectives are now appealing for information about the pair, who were driving a brown metallic estate car with ladders on top.
The first is described as a white, 5ft 6ins, medium build, short fair hair under a baseball cap, fair complexion, clean-shaven and in his late 20s.
The second is white, 5ft 7in, medium build with short hair, a dark complexion and thin moustache and aged around 30.
The incident took place between noon and 3pm on Friday.
