REGARDING television licences, I agree that blind people should have preference for concessions as well as people over 75, most of whom cannot go out. But I strongly disagree that I, like hundreds of other senior citizens, have to pay in full.

Who, in God's name, expects all senior citizens like me to pay the full amount? As if that is not enough, we have now to pay £3.

I definitely cannot afford digital TV, but the big heads who make these rules and can afford one in every room if they wanted, say they could not increase the licence just for people with digital, so now everybody has to pay extra for those who can afford digital.

I have written to our MP. He says that the Government is said to be giving it some thought. By the time they have thought about it, I will be covered by being 75 myself.

I am certain if every pensioner in the country paid £25 to £35 each, the Government would be thousands of pounds in pocket, but we can't expect these big rich Cabinet people to think such things.
