LINE dancers of all ages joined a marathon line dancing session to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

All the line dancers had a great day, while attempting the challenge of completing more than 30 dances. Most line dancers who were capable of a lot more tried to beat their own personal best.

The event was the first of many to be held at Oswaldtwistle Mills, which have chosen Marie Curie as their charity for this year.

Sam Turbefield, area fundraiser, said: "The line dancers had a chance to have a rest between the Venga bus shuffle and Waltzing across Texas, by relaxing in the Mills coffee shop or browsing around the shops."

Pictured taking a rest from the marathon are (front, left to right) Christine Fairclough, Val McBurney, Kerris Milligan and (back) Chris Freeman and Mark Hartley.
