A YOUTH arrested in the early hours near Mean Cat Daddies nightclub, Burnley, was bound over for six months, in the sum of £100, by the town's magistrates.

An allegation of threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behaviour, was withdrawn by the court against Paul Bracewell, 18, of Hillside, Burnley.

John Wood, prosecuting, said there appeared to have been a disagreement and the defendant told another youth: "Come on then, I will have you." He ran up the street, police grabbed him by the arm and Bracewell said: "What do you expect when somebody has beaten up your sister?"

Graeme Tindall, defending, said Bracewell's sister had not been attacked, but another young lady had been subjected to violence by the other person.
