A MAN died on a railway line after appearing in court on sex charges, an inquest heard.
The Preston hearing was told that 41-year-old Kevin Young, from Chorley, who was arrested in October, had been bailed by Chorley magistrates four days before his death.
The train driver who spotted him lying on the line was unable to stop in time.
His brother Barry told the inquest that Mr Young, who lived at Boarded Barn, Euxton, and worked in the building trade, had personal problems but said he did not think he was capable of harming himself.
He died from multiple injuries and had to be identified by personal belongings.
The jury returned an open verdict.
