SO, we are going to lose our antiquated post offices within the next two years, "Post office plans will stamp us out" (LET, February 23).
They are struggling to get out of the 19th century while the rest of us are in another millennium.
It isn't as if old age pensioners will lose out. Their pensions are guaranteed, and they will find it easier to get them from a bank than from some morose post office clerk.
It sounds as if sub postmasters have contracted the same disease prevalent among farmers - they are what our Australian cousins call "whingeing Poms."
