LET'S face it, Accrington is a shambles.
Listed are my ideas of mistakes made, and those yet to come.
1. Bus station altered and made smaller.
2. Hazards for car drivers by way of traffic-calming humps, chicanes, etc.
3. Roads made narrow by islands jutting out all over the place.
4. Bollards all over most of the pavements. What are they for and what has all this cost?
You cannot cram into a small town an enormous shopping place. Houses are going up on every bit of grass. We won't see any fields at all by the time planners have finished.
And where are all the extra shoppers going to park? Do they know? On some car parks, you have to have a green card, or you will have a parking fine slapped on you.
The bus station should be put back to normal.
The open market should stay where it is.
We don't want any more shops built - there are enough empty ones.
