A GROUP of Scouts from East Lancashire have earned the Queen's Scout Award.
The Rt Hon Lord Waddington of Read presented the certificates on behalf of the Chief Scout during a ceremony at Mill House, off Whalley Road, Clayton-le-Moors.
The successful young people were Caroline Mallinson and Neil Dolman of the 1st Pendle Forest Venture Scout Unit, Burnley, Claire Prismall of Cribden Venture Scout Unit, Rossendale, Anthony Holdsworth and Matthew Inckle of the 1st Briercliffe (St James) Venture Scout Unit, Burnley, and Matthew Halse, of the Bold Venture Scout Unit in Darwen.
Also at the presentation were Scout leaders and the Mayor of Hyndburn, Coun Bernard Dawson.
