JUDGE David Connor points an accusing finger at Rotary club vice-president Nick Stratton, who stood in the dock for the best possible reason.
Nick and David, a local solicitor, were taking part in a mock trial held as a fundraising event. He was found guilty of causing actual bodily harm and sentenced to endure "a day of ridicule".
"Quite what that will mean I don't know yet," said Nick.
The trial was held at the Masonic Hall, Burnley Road, Bacup, on Saturday, was followed by a potato pie supper.
They raised £175 for Bacup Rotary funds to help local causes.
