A RANDOM road safety blitz on taxis found seven cabs that were considered to be so unsafe that police insisted they were towed away, it was revealed.
In all 18 taxi drivers from Accrington and Blackburn had their licences suspended, including the seven prohibited from road use, as police and council officers swooped for the safety tests.
