BURY boxer Ady Lewis wants to defend his British and Commonwealth bantamweight title at Gigg Lane - if the council will let him.
Bury Council banned boxing just as the "Mighty Atom" - the smallest professional boxer at 4ft 10" - was starting his rise up the flyweight ranks.
Since then, Ady has moved up a weight and the Bury FC fan claimed the double prize at the weekend, defeating London's Francis Ampofo on points.
