LOCKS were licked into punk and other wild styles during a mad hair day at Avondale School in Darwen.
The event was held in aid of school funds.
About 350 pupils and all of the staff paid 50p each to take part.
Parent and Teacher Association secretary and special needs teacher Joanne Harper said: "There were some really wild and wonderful hair dos.
"A lot of imagination went into creating the styles with gel and sprays."
