PUPILS at Pleckgate High School, Blackburn, scooped a handful of awards from the UK Intermediate Maths Challenge.
They sat a one-hour paper without calculators which was marked at Leeds University.
Adanan Malik, 16, finished top in the school and won a gold award. Pupils in years nine, 10 and 11 also won 11 silver certificates and 27 bronze certificates.
