CAN anyone tell me what exactly the three councillors are doing for the electorate in Blackburn's Wensley Fold with 'Bank Top.'

I ask this, having read many areas of the town are to get improved street lighting.

Coun Dave Smith states that he has campaigned hard to get this improvement for his ward. When are we going to be blessed with a councillor willing to campaign for us?

Why, in Bank Top, are we obliged to cough up the same amount of tax, but get little in return? Why are we always last on the list?

Councillor Don Rishton's remarks in 'Rights under threat,' (Letters, March 10), must have taken some writing. What about the rights of the people who put you there, councillor? Where has the £11 million earmarked for Bank Top been spent?

According to the Whitehall leak (LET, March 9), about Blackburn with Darwen, although it has obtained national and European funding to regenerate the area, it is still the 41st most deprived area in England.
