POLICE have been given more time to question a man in connection with the shooting of teenage student Adam Hayes.
Blackburn magistrates granted a custody extension until 12.45am tomorrow.
The local man was arrested in Preston Old Road in the early hours of Saturday, seven weeks after 17-year-old Adam, of Redlam, Blackburn, was blasted at close range in the chest and arm close to Witton Park. He suffered a collapsed lung.
The man is being detained at Blackburn police station, and detectives are making further inquiries.
