BLACKBURN College tutor David Swift has addressed a national conference.
He travelled to Birmingham University to speak about a new classical studies course to be offered from September.
Mr Swift (pictured) addressed delegates at the Classical Civilisation Conference on the new classical studies A-level which will be available to students.
Mr Swift, classical studies lecturer at Blackburn College, will also tutor a summer school in classical civilisation and ancient history in July.
He will also judge the Manchester Schools Latin and Greek reading competition.
Author of a website which gives advice and support, as well as writing a newsletter and updating people with syllabus developments, Mr Swift is also secretary of the A-level classical civilisation bureau which exists to support other A-level teachers.
