WHAT in the so and so is going on in this country -- thousands of people making their way to these shores under the guise of asylum seekers?
Areas around Britain are going to have them dumped on them whether they want them or not and will have to put up with the problems and expense they will create.
Now we hear 20,000 white Zimbabweans could be coming to flee the violence in Zimbabwe and tens of thousands from that country are eligible for British passports and no one could stop them coming if they wanted to (you bet they do).
I do have sympathy for people in distress, but all this is going too far. Where is it going to end and how?
The French are even paying some of the asylum seekers' ferry tickets (one way, of course). Where is the backbone of this obviously weak government, who can't get us out of this mess?
The people of this country have just about had enough and, hopefully, will tell the government so in the usual way.
And, on top of this, we also have the problems of the farmers, lorry drivers and car workers. Whatever next? Frightening, I call it.
