MORE than 100 youngsters put on their dancing shoes to raise £500 for the Haemophilia Society.
Children aged three to 18 from the Angela Westwell School of Dance put on a three-night show at Clitheroe Royal Grammar School in February.
Angela Briscoe, who runs the Clitheroe school under her maiden name, said they organised performances every two years and had already raised more than £2,000 for the blood disease charity.
Angela's eight-year-old son suffers from the condition and needs regular injections and hospital treatment.
She said: "We started rehearsals in September. The children did all kinds of dancing from Chinese and Japanese -- with parasols and a Chinese dragon -- to pieces from "Me and My Girl" and "Annie"."
The show raised a total of £800. Angela plans to give the remaining £300 to another local charity.
Picture shows dance school pupils and Angela Briscoe, left, presenting the cheque for £500 to Alex Susman-Shaw of the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.
