BUSINESS failures are rising faster in the North West than in any other part of the country.
While failures nationally fell by three per cent in the first three months they rose by 12.4 per cent to 1,350.
The failure figure was made up of 696 bankruptcies, up by 17.8 per cent over 1999 and company liquidations of 654, up 7.2 per cent.
