ENGINEERING firms have been urged to make use of a 'secret weapon'.
An event was staged at Northern Technologies in Nelson to highlight awareness among firms of the teaching Company Scheme.
The scheme encourages firms to work with universities to improve their businesses.
"More than 2,000 companies have already taken advantage of the scheme but only a small minority are from the East Lancashire area," said Bill Davies, chairman of the East Lancashire higher level lkills brokerage.
"The event was held to encourage more firms to get involved and use the additional technology and expertise available to boost their business."
Further details on the scheme are available from Dorret Conway on 01254 616269.
