I TOTALLY agree with what you say about the dangerous condition of some of the buses in this area (LET, March 24).
But taking the operators' licences from the cowboys has not prevented them from continuing business, using the same defective buses and operating the same bus services, by borrowing the licences of other operators.
For the public to have confidence that they are travelling safely, the Department of Transport needs the power to confiscate the buses as well as the operator's licence.
