IN his comments on pub karaoke (Letters, March 15), Mr F Cross states that pub singers should pay to sing like the choir to which he belongs does.
Well, pubs already pay their performing rights fees which go to the composer. That is not an issue.
Is Mr Cross also aware that his male voice choir would not be able to sing in pubs around Blackburn or Darwen -- even though they probably don't use any electricity whatsoever.
Not unless just two of them were to sing, however, or, of course, only one of them, if they require a pianist.
G WARD (Mr), Elswick Street, Darwen.
