THE Commanding Officer, committees, staff and cadets of Blackburn Unit Sea Cadet Corps thank all parents and the public for their support over the year, especially at the car boot sales during the winter.
Grants and donations have also been received from companies and the local authority, for which we are most grateful. Sponsorship for transport is sought, as travel costs are a huge drain on unit income.
Although cadet numbers are satisfactory at present there is plenty of room for many more recruits into both Sea Cadets and Marine Cadets.
EILEEN EASTHAM (Secretary, Blackburn Unit Sea Cadet Corps), Milton Close, Darwen.
